"It was an awesome experience to cross that line first," said
Webb. "I knew it was going to
come this year; we've got a great
program and I've been working
really hard, and tonight it just all
came together."
Webb got a good start off to the
evening by winning his heat race
ahead of Monster Energy Kawasaki's Justin Soule. In the main
event, Webb got away in second
behind Haaker and paced himself off the JCR Honda rider until
Haaker made a mistake.
"I got off to a decent start and
I just rode strong that whole time
behind Colton," said Webb. "I
thought I was riding pretty good
but I felt like there were parts of
the track where I was faster. I was
thinking I needed to make a move
before Brownie [Mike Brown]
and Taddy [Blazusiak] caught up.
Luckily Colton got hung up the
same time I whipped a big floater
in the rocks and I got by him."
Once Haaker dropped off the
pace, the KTM tandem of Mike
Brown and Taddy Blazusiak
moved into the battle for second
behind Webb.
A crash during the hot laps left
