Jamie Lanza had his ups
and downs in the Lightweight class.
though he claimed to be "tired"
and in need of "a bit more stamina," the 47-year-old checked out
in a big way in his third race of the
weekend, leaving Paul Krause
and David Glass to battle for a
distant second.
"Today I got the holeshot again
and pretty much just had an easy
ride," Ward said with a laugh. "I
didn't have any issues with the
40+ class. It was nice. But I was
pretty tired. I'm still not 100%; my
leg bothers me just a little bit. The
pain is almost all gone… I'm getting there."
Other highlights of the packed
weekend of racing included Tatum Sik taking the Women's class
win ahead of Elizabeth Bash. Sik
had a hard crash early in the
event, nearly knocking herself
silly, but picked herself up quick
enough to continue dominating
the Saturday morning race. Following the Women's race, Jerry
Black took the Magnum Heavyweight Expert win ahead of Andy
Kirker. Sunday morning's Mini division saw Jarett Megla on a tear,
and ending the race out front
ahead of Trevor Hunter, Logan
Tweet and Chance Fullerton. CN
