"That was my bad," Lanza said.
"But it was really fun. Trevor's a
good rider and he definitely
made me pick up the pace and
take some chances."
Lanza was able to redeem himself the next day in the final race
of the weekend where he took
the Lightweight II class win.
The overall win in Sunday's
big race went to American Beta's
Nick Burson
was unbeatable
in the Heavyweight division.
Nick Burson who blasted his way
to a dominant victory aboard his
300RR two-stroke. Like Lanza,
Burson had suffered back luck
and mechanical issues on Saturday, but made up for it on Sunday
with a solid win.
"[On Saturday] I lost the foot
pedal on the first lap," Burson
explained. "I broke the tip off in
the tire pit section and I couldn't

reach it. My dad bent it out to
where I could just use the straight
part, and then I bent it around
the footpeg after that. But I was
ready for the race today. I pretty
much got the holeshot, led from
start to finish and had a perfect
race."
