PREVIEW
ROAD RACE
P44
WORLD SUPERBIKES AT LAGUNA SECA
1995 – AUSSIES RULE!
>> Two Australians – 20-year-old
Anthony Gobert and Troy Corser
– swapped 1-2 finishes in the first-ever
World Superbike round at Laguna Seca.
>> American wild cards Miguel
Duhamel and his Smokin' Joe's Honda
teammate Mike Hale split podium
finishes and they both finished fourth in
the races they weren't on the podium.
>> World Champion Carl Fogarty
struggled at Laguna, finishing fifth
and seventh in the two races. He
still extended his lead in the World
Championship, however, as Aaron
Slight struggled even more – finishing
ninth in race one and crashing out of
race two.
