after making contact with GEICO
Honda's Zach Osborne, ruining
his bid for the overall victory.
"I was on the outside and
just hit his back wheel and went
down," Roczen said. "My grip
was kind of greasy after that and I
just couldn't really get going."
Roczen finished seventh in the
second moto, but when moto
winner Blake Baggett was penalized a position for disobeying the
red-cross flag, Roczen moved up
to second overall.

next year, rookie Cooper Webb
couldn't help but think about
2014 after nabbing third overall at
Lake Elsinore.
"I'm pretty pumped on everything," Webb, the MyPlash/Metal
Mulisha/Star Yamaha rider said.
"Just to come and get two good
starts and put two motos together
and to get third at the last round
is pretty cool."
Although he's new to the pro
ranks, he knows well the importance of finishing out the season
on a strong note.
"Really for me I couldn't have
ended it in any better way," Webb
said. "And it's cool to know that

out of the first moto last week in
Utah and that's the last we've seen
of him. He tweeted after Utah: "All's
well! See y'all at Anaheim."
It's widely known that Red Bull
KTM's Ken Roczen will be moving up to the 450 class next year.
Being with KTM, he has the unique
option of racing the company's 350
or 450 SX models, it's his choice.
At Lake Elsinore, Roczen said he
likes riding both bikes but is "…
leaning toward the 450." In the
MXGPs, KTM's World champ Antonio Cairoli rides a 350.
Blake Baggett says he plans to
have more surgery on his wrist/
hand, which has been severely
hampering him ever since round
one of the 2013 Supercross Series at Anaheim, where he suffered a dislocated wrist and severe
ligament damage. He currently has
very limited range of motion with
his all-important throttle hand and
hopes surgery will provide him with
a little more flexibility for next season. He's expected to have the surgery later this week.
Privateer Westin Peick was hoping to finish off the year at his
home track with another top finish (he took fourth overall in the
450 class last week at Utah) but
he didn't have a ton of luck at Elsinore, though he rode well. Peick
was making up ground after getting
a bad start in the first moto when
he was forced to pull off with bike
trouble. He started off in 14th in the
second moto and worked his way
up to seventh, finishing between
Tyla Rattray and Brett Metcalfe.
