(Left) Ken Roczen ran off with the
first-moto win, but a tangle with Zach
Osborne in the second moto ended
his bid for the overall.

aggressive in both 250 motos and
finished off the day on the podium.
some progress.
"I feel like we got the bike set
up pretty decent for the day,"
Dungey said. "We would've liked
it to have been a little bit better
but at the same time I really feel
like we're making good progress
with the bike. We've got a little bit
ways to go, too. So we've got to
get some stuff dialed in."
Even when it was pointed out
that there were areas of the track
that weren't ideal for passing,
Dungey shared Villopoto's opinion that it wasn't the design of the
track but the dirt.
"The dirt's - you got a little bit
of everything - it's soft, it's hard,
it's choppy and all the bumps are
different with the mulch," Dungey
explained. "That's where your
setup shines... is how consistent
it is."
Really the whole season has
been about the Ryans. There was
only one person not named Ryan
to win an overall and that was
James Stewart, who did not ride
Elsinore because of an injury.

Briefly...
Honda Team will hang on to Cole
Seely and Jessy Nelson for 2014,
and will also support just-turned
pro Shan McElrath. Christian
Craig will not return with the team
in 2014. And what about Malcolm
Stewart who filled in for the injured
Craig in the outdoors? Will he remain with the team? According to
team manager Tyler Keefe, nothing has been settled yet.
Justin Brayton will return to the
JGRMX team for 2014, but Josh
Grant's future with the team is still
uncertain. We spoke with Grant
after the Lake Elsinore race about
him staying with the team and he
said, "I don't know yet, but they're
talking about it right now. We'll
soon find out."
Ricky Carmichael says that he and
co-team owner Carey Hart should
have things ironed out shortly regarding who'll be representing the
RCH Suzuki Team next year. Brock
Tickle says he'll be back, but Josh
Hill says he is still unsure about his
return to the RCH Team.
Chad Reed has not yet announced
what his plans will be regarding the
TwoTwo Motorsports Honda Team
next year. It's believed that the team
will be back next year on a different brand, but which one? Reed
recently Tweeted: "Most rumors
have me going blue next year. In
a perfect world [it would] be cool
to finish there…but we are far from
[a] perfect world – won't be blue
tweeps." Our guess – yellow (one
way or another). He won his last title (outdoors) in 2009 on a Suzuki.
The TwoTwo team did not attend the
Lake Elsinore race. Reed pulled
