"I was kind of peeking behind
me on the last lap wondering
where they were at," Tomac said.
"I thought I saw Blake go across
the finish line first or they might

Villopoto made a statement right
away at Miller. Not only was he
quickest in qualifying but he
was also almost a two full seconds quicker around the onemile track than the nearest rider,
James Stewart, and almost a full
four seconds quicker than the
next-best rider, Dungey.
That was bad news for Dung-
ey, for even he knew that finding
four seconds a lap on Villopoto
was going to be impossible. And
it was. Although he rode well at
Miller, Dungey just didn't have the
speed to hang with the champ-tobe, Villopoto, who was without a
doubt in a league of his own at
MMP, which has actually been
