When I relaxed, he relaxed. So, he was playing." Marc came home six-tenths of a second clear with Acosta working miracles in third, 2.3 seconds back of the winner. Aldeguer, Martin and Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Aprilia) followed. For the first time this year, Marquez (274 points) leads the standings with Martin (274) level. Bezzecchi (241) is by no means out of it, 33 behind. Moto2 Evidence pointed toward Senna Agius (IntactGP Kalex) returning to winning ways after scoring just his second pole position on Saturday. But the race's course was after expunging too much energy the previous day? In reality, the reigning champ was simply biding his time. And any questions over endurance were more relevant for Martin. Turn six would be the Aprilia's kryptonite, with Marc (lap 12) and Alex (lap 14) relegating him to third in quick succession. Acosta took third on lap 16 before Aldeguer was by, again, on the turn-six cutback. There was something of a race up front. Marc's personal best on lap 14 took his lead to 1.1 seconds. But Alex rallied, getting to within four-tenths of his brother with five to go. Yet the sense out of shape coming through Curvone, Bezzecchi was wide exiting the following turn and tucked the front at turn 13. "I did a mistake," he sheepishly conceded after. Marquez could barely believe his luck. But victory was by no means a given at that point, with Martin, Acosta, Alex and Aldeguer all in touch. By lap three, it was clear Martin had more to offer than the previous two days, and his fellow Spaniard was surprised when the second Aprilia took the lead on lap seven with a neat turn-four pass. Soon, there were questions regarding Marquez's fitness as Martin pulled six tenths clear and Alex, once past Acosta for third on lap four, sat on his rear. Had he run out of gas Johann Zarco (5) was charging on Sunday but lost the front at three- quarters distance and no-scored.
