Two uncharacteristically bad
starts left Jett fighting his way
up through the field on a track
that is notoriously difficult to
pass on. But Jett took his time
and methodically worked his
way up, which included a crucial
last-lap pass on the resurging
Jorge Prado for second place in
the second moto. A 5-2 netted
the defending champ fourth
overall; it was the worst overall
first turn the best I can and then
just ride my own race. I haven't
felt great all week [physically], so
it feels great to get this done."
It was a difficult day for Jett.

today was a good step for me, and
I want to take this momentum into
the final round to finish the outdoor
season strong."
24 RJ HAMPSHIRE
10TH (12-6) 450MX
RJ Hampshire looked to be on pace
for top five finishes, but he later
rounded out the top 10 with 12-6
scores. A damaged gear shifter
limited his result in the first moto. "My
day started good," said Hampshire.
"I didn't get off the gate well in moto
one, and then made contact with
someone and damaged my gear
shifter. I was stuck in second gear the
whole first moto and salvaged what I
could, and then the second moto was
a bit better. I just needed to be a little
better today and didn't really have it,
so we have one to go, and I want to
finish the season strong in Indiana."
