the Spaniard second overall.
Prado passed his teammate
Eli Tomac just after the halfway
point in race one, which earned
him another moto podium. Race
two saw him running second
for nearly the entire race before
coming under fire from Jett.
The two duked it out, with Prado
eventually forfeiting the posi

tion on the final lap after dealing
with lapped traffic. Despite the
pass, Prado's pace continues to
improve, and his efforts were re
-
warded with second overall and
his fourth podium of the summer.
"My start was good and my
riding was good most of the
time," Prado said. "In those last
10 minutes I struggle and have
a hard time with the lappers. I
finish of his 450MX career (that
didn't involve a crash or penalty),
and it could not have come at
a worse time. He now trails his
older brother by a single point.
Afterward, however, he said
he's looking forward to the final
and has a positive outlook.
"It's going to be exciting," Jett
said. "Hunter and I have been
going back and forth with the
red plate. Now it's one point and
winner-take-all at the next one. I
need to get better on the starts;
those have been terrible. If I can
fix that, I think we'll be in good
shape."
Second overall went to Jorge
Prado. The Red Bull KTM rider
seemed to have found his old
World Championship-winning
form again and was a threat for
the overall victory, which would
rial Stadium in nearby Annapolis,
Maryland, where Pastrana was
set to ride in his final show, but
a recent broken leg sidelined the
fan favorite.

Hunter Lawrence's fourth perfect
day of the season... In 2022, the
450MX class went into the final
round with the title on the line and
just one point separating the top
two: Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton;
Tomac won both motos.
