RETURN TO ACTION
Several 450MX-class riders made
their returns to racing this week-
end at Unadilla. Malcolm Stewart
was back after a knee injury and
finished 20th overall (23-16). Jus-
tin Cooper got the all-clear after
his concussion at Hangtown and
finished ninth with an 8-12. Aaron
Plessinger also lined up but didn't
finish either moto with mechani-
cals. Newly crowned Australian
MX1 champ Jed Beaton also lined
up for his second-ever round of
AMA Pro Motocross and finished
seventh overall with 10-9 results.
PENALTY REPORT
In all, 15 riders were docked
license points in the first 250MX
moto for going off-track: Nate
Thrasher, Daxton Bennick, Cole
Timboe, Aden Keefer, Ryder
DiFrancesco, Russell Buccheri,
Deacon Denno, Preston Mascian-
gelo, Carson Mumford, Brodie
Connolly, Cole Davies, Evan Ferry,
Jadyn Serles, Parker Ross and Lux
Turner. Haiden Deegan, Mitchell
Harrison and Mark Fineis were
also docked license points for cut-
ting the track in the 450 motos.
ZACH IS BACK
Former AMA Pro Motocross
Champion Zach Osborne com-
peted in Pro Motocross for the
first time in five years at Unadilla.
After a successful run at the
Monster Energy Amateur National
at Loretta Lynn's Ranch, where
he won two class champion-
ships, the 2020 450MX Champion
qualified a respectable 12th in the
450MX class at Unadilla before
going 22-40 for 33rd overall. He
also plans to compete in the final
