I've always felt the T7 was top-
heavy, a little unpredictable, and
annoying for such an otherwise
approachable machine.
The new platform provides much
greater stability. This bike is easier
to ride than the standard version,
plain and simple. It has a more
planted, lower-center-of-gravity feel,
even with two more gallons of fuel
in the tank(s). I think the difference
is that the fuel's orientation relative
to the chassis is better for balance.
The new tanks are lower and wider,
placing more fuel weight lower in
the chassis than the 2025 and pre

vious standard versions. The bike
is also heavier, but it sure doesn't
feel like it. The fuel weight balance
is much lower than an aftermar

though the fuel extends farther out,
it never felt troublesome in three
days of riding. If you crank in the
steering damper, the bike simply be

dirt roads—zero front-end wobble,
zero rear-wheel slipping or snap-
ping, just rock-solid stability.

I'm sure a lot of people will be
grouchy that the Tenere 700 has

the World Raid. Well, I'm here to
tell you there isn't much to worry
