RJ Hampshire just missed a top five
overall finish despite a hard-fought
effort in race two. "I felt good on the
bike," Hampshire said. "I just had
some issues on the opening lap of
moto one and had to come through
the pack back to seventh. Second
moto, better start, but I caught an
edge on the side of the track and
landed in a soft spot, and had a pretty
big one... I was still able to manage
sixth in the moto and sixth overall
on the day, so we'll enjoy these next
couple of weekends off and then give
it a good push to finish out the final
three rounds."

Kayden Minear logged another top
10 finish during his first visit to the
Washougal venue. "Washougal done
and dusted," Minear said. "Enjoyed
being there for my first time—really
struggled through the day but man I
gave it my everything. Definitely lit a
fire in my belly to put my head down
and be back better after the break.
