Howes, Honda
Part Ways
S
kyler Howes announced on social media
that his relationship with the Monster
Energy Honda HRC Rally Team has officially
ended after three years. Howes and the team
have chosen to "follow different directions."
Howes claimed a stage victory with the
team at this year's Dakar Rally and raced at
the highest level in the FIM World Rally-Raid
Championship. He was signed by the Red
Riders in 2023 after racing for the Husqvarna
Factory team.
"Thank you HRC," Howes said. "I must
share the unfortunate news that my time rac
-
ing for the HRC rally team has come to an end. I
have put my blood, sweat and tears into this team
and will always look back with pride on the time
I spent here. A huge thank you to everyone—the
team managers, technicians, mechanics and
riders—for their dedication and drive to push the
limits and win in the most hostile conditions and
gnarliest races on the planet. It's been an honor."
"After three incredible years, our journey togeth
-
er comes to an end," the team added. "Everyone
at Monster Energy Honda HRC would like to thank
you for everything you have given to the team and
wish you success in the future."

Anstie, Monster
Energy Star Racing
Yamaha Split
M
ax Anstie and the Monster Energy Star
Racing Yamaha team have amicably
parted ways, effective immediately. Anstie,
who signed a multi-year deal with the team in
2024, wants to defend his FIM World Super-
cross Championship (WSX) title, but Ya-
maha's program was unable to support that
goal. This news comes five rounds into the
2026 Pro Motocross Championship, during which Anstie has yet to start a race
since crashing in qualifying at round one at Fox Raceway in Pala, California.
"Max wanted to race WSX, so we came to the mutual decision to part ways,
allowing him to pursue that and leave on good terms," said Monster Energy
Yamaha Star Racing 250 Team General Manager Wil Hahn. "We'd like to thank
Max for his dedication and efforts and wish him the best in his future."
"I'm proud of everything that I achieved with Monster Energy Yamaha Star
Racing," Anstie said. "It was a dream of mine to ride for the team. We shared a
lot of success, and I'd like to thank them for all the hard work and great memo
-
ries over the last two years."
