Jett looked to be in the fight
again in the second moto, but
two uncharacteristic falls forced
him to charge from outside the
top 10. He managed to score a
hard-fought fifth and salvage third
overall. Jett has still yet to finish
off the podium in 2026, but his
biggest rival is undoubtedly his
own brother and teammate. He's
also never lost three rounds in a
row [this makes two] and looks
for redemption next weekend at
Southwick.
"I made a decision with the
team to go a certain way on the
bike, and it didn't work," Jett said.
"Hunter is riding really well, so
we'll go back to work and try to
come out better at Southwick."

Hunter eventually caught and
dropped Jett, but a late-race fall
returned the spot and the win
back in Jett's favor.
Despite winning the moto,
the usually unflappable Jett
was clearly unhappy with how
things went and with his own
riding, throwing his helmet to
the ground in the cool-down
area. Despite finishing second,
Hunter was upset to see a sure
win slip away on the last lap.
It was unusual to see the first-
and second-place riders so
disappointed after the race.
"That was Hunter's race,"
Jett said after winning the first
moto. "Just a bit of bad luck
in that one turn, but I didn't
deserve that one at all."

PENALTY REPORT
Haiden Deegan lost his fast lap in
the first 450MX qualifying session
for jumping on a red-cross light;
Preston Masciangelo lost five
450MX Championship points and
two purse positions for jumping
on a red-cross light; and in 250MX,
Russell Buccheri was penalized
four positions for cutting the track
and gaining an advantage. Race
direction reviewed incidents of six
other riders jumping on a red-cross
light during 250MX moto one, but
none were penalized.
RedBud Notes: Red Bull KTM's
Aaron Plessinger was helped off
the track after going down with
another rider in the first turn of
the first 450MX moto. He did
not return, and his condition has
not been revealed yet... Hunter
Lawrence scored his first back-to-
back wins in 450 Motocross... This
was the 180th overall win for the
Honda brand... For the first time in
the track's long history of host-
ing Pro Motocross (since 1974),
the RedBud 450MX podium was
composed entirely of international
athletes... Jo Shimoda's 30th 250
Motocross podium moves him
into the top 10 all-time, tying Mike
Brown and Erik Kehoe.
