RJ Hampshire logged his best result of the season with a pair of fourths for fourth overall. "We did some testing this week back home and found some more comfort," said Hampshire. "The bike felt much better today. I felt like I could ride and push, and my speed in the second moto was much bet - ter than the first." Garrett Marchbanks grabbed his third top five of the season in fifth overall. "I thought my racecraft was a little better today on the open - ing laps," Marchbanks said. "I got into fifth again pretty quickly and just rode my own race. I tried to push for RJ, but he was riding really well today. With about four laps to go, sadly, Jett got around me. I stayed with him for a bit, but I didn't quite have the speed toward the end." Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha's Haiden Deegan had a tough start to his day after going down with another rider in the first turn of the first moto. He picked up his bike in 38th place and rallied back to finish in 10th. With a 10th-gate pick for the second moto, Deegan tried something a little different, lining up on the extreme inside. And it paid off. He settled into second place behind Prado and had Jett Lawrence right behind him, setting the stage for what could have been an exciting battle. But Lawrence slid out, giving Deegan solo command of second place. Hunter eventually ran down Deegan, relegating the Yamaha rider to third in the moto and sixth overall ahead of Mikkel Haarup, Cooper Webb, Dylan Fer - randis and Justin Barcia. With the victory, Hunter Lawrence regained the top spot in the championship points standings, now leading Jett by three points. Deegan stays in third place, 51 points behind the leader and 12 points ahead of fourth-placed Prado. ROUND 5 / JULY 4, 2026 REDBUD MX / BUCHANAN, MICHIGAN MOTOCROSS I AMA PRO MOTOCROSS / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P76 Jo Shimoda (30) came through the pack in both 250MX motos. He reeled in and passed Davies to win the second moto.
