450MX
That's two in a row now for Jett Lawrence. Is it too early
to say "win streak?" The Honda HRC rider has now won
the last four consecutive motos and taken two of the
last three overall wins so far this season. Even with a
perfect day on paper, this might've been his hardest
fight yet, as Lawrence came under heavy fire in moto
one. The defending champ fought off multiple attacks
from his brother, Hunter, then from 450 rookie Haiden
Deegan, and finally from a late-race charge from MXGP

10 SETH HAMMAKER
7TH (2-12) 250MX
Seth Hammaker saw his points lead
dwindle after a crash in race two left
him salvaging a 12th-place result. "In
the first moto, I ripped an amazing
start and pulled the holeshot. I led all
the way up until about a lap and a half
to go, and Levi [Kitchen] was charg-
ing really hard. He was riding really
well and ended up getting around me.
I was feeling good heading into moto
two, then got into another first-turn
pileup. I just picked my bike up and
had to dig for another long moto. I got
back up to 12th, so 2-12 for seventh
overall, and I'm tied for the point lead
now with Levi. I at least still have the
red plate heading into High Point."
7 AARON PLESSINGER
7TH (6-7) 450MX
Aaron Plessinger continued his
upward trajectory with his two best re-
sults of the year. "I got a pretty good
start in moto one and then fell back
on the opening laps, but I smoothed
it out a little and found a flow from
there. A couple of people got penal-
ized in race one, which elevated me
up the order to sixth, and then in moto

It might've been a
perfect day on paper
for Jett, but things were
this close for most of
the first 450 moto with
Haiden Deegan (38) and
Hunter Lawrence (96)
closely in tow.
