ucati's off-road expansion continues with the in-
troduction of the new Desmo450 EDS dual sport
bike, joining
the Desmo450 MX and Desmo450 EDX
off-road models. The new dual sport EDS model takes the
same basic platform as the Desmo450 MX and adapts it
for the demands of dual-sport and recreational trail riding.
At the heart of the Desmo450 EDS is Ducati's 449cc
liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine featuring the com

pany's trademark Desmodromic valve-actuation system,
making it the
only motorcycle in the enduro category to
utilize Desmo technology.
