ROUND 1 / MAY 30, 2026
FOX RACEWAY / PALA, CALIFORNIA
P76
previously earned two MXGP
World Championships. Prado
qualified second and caught
the tow from Lawrence early in
both motos. In race two, Prado
actually led the opening lap
before settling into second. A
consistent 2-2 showing is by far
Prado's career-best finish in the
U.S. and put him second on the
day, earning him his first Pro
Motocross podium.
"This is a great start to the
season with second overall,"
Prado said. "It was a good day
of racing; we were battling up
front and even got into the lead
during the opening stages of
moto two, so I am happy. I think
we can build from here. We will
learn from it and just be a little
sharper once the gate drops
next time."
Jett Lawrence rounded out
the overall podium in third in
his first race of 2026. While the
Pala win streak might be over
for the defending champion, he
certainly made the best of it as
he continues to recover from an
extensive leg and ankle injury.
TOMAC UPDATE
Eli Tomac suffered a big crash on
the opening lap of the first moto
and was assisted off the track
by the Alpinestars Medical crew.
The Red Bull KTM team says,
"Initial on-site scans revealed no
broken bones after straining his
neck in the incident, and he will
undergo further evaluation during
the week."
