Eager to put things back on
track, he ripped free right from
the start. Bauman's pace was
such that only rookie ace and
Grand National Championship
leader Kody Kopp could even
pretend to keep pace.
The Latus Motors Racing
H-D pilot did an admirable
job clinging on for a spell but
ultimately couldn't keep things
eight wins in 2025, there was
significant shuffling beneath the
surface of his program.
In an attempt not just to hit
the ground running but to step
things up over '25, Bauman, new
crew chief Bryan Bigelow, and
company may have, in hindsight,
been a bit too aggressive in their
approach to the bike's setup.
A month after Senoia,
reflecting, adjusting and
continuing to learn to work
together reaped serious
benefits at Ventura Raceway, a

Turner Honda's Trent Lowe was never
able to fully lock into his groove on
the Honda CB750 Hornet at Ventura
Raceway. That feeling was finalized
when he came out in seventh after
engaging in a three-rider melee for
fifth. Lowe said, "Today was definitely
a struggle. We were working on
the bike all day long, flipping the
bike upside down, so hats off to
my crew. We were trying to find a
way to get me comfortable, and we
made huge strides with some big
changes before the main event. The
bike was a lot better. I felt like I could
have made my way forward a little
bit better, but we just let the leaders
get too far ahead. I was kind of
stuck with what we got. We're going
to move on to the next one with a
positive note."
