that gap. I just didn't quite have
it. I didn't feel amazing, just flat,
but not bad. We'll take it. The
red plate is cool, but we've got a
long season ahead."
Last week's winner, Cooper
Webb, rounded out the podium
in third. This marks Webb's
and carries the red plate into
round six.
"It's bittersweet," Lawrence
said. "I got a great start and was
in a great position. Kenny was
riding unreal tonight. He was
riding a lot better than me in

WIN DEDICATED
TO BROOKS
Everyone's thoughts are with
HEP Progressive Suzuki team
manager Larry Brooks, who was
recently diagnosed with colon
cancer and was unable to attend
the Glendale round. Ken Roczen
dedicated his win to Brooks on
the podium. "I want to dedicate
this win specifically to Larry. He
hasn't been able to be with us
here the last few races. It really
hurts all our hearts. He loves this
more than anybody. This one
goes out to him."
HUSQVARNA
HEARTBREAK
Neither of the Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna 450 riders finished
the main event. A pair of crashes
during the main event forced Mal-
colm Stewart to retire early, while
his teammate RJ Hampshire did
not line up at all due to an illness.
PODIUM DRY SPELL
Max Anstie has not finished on
the podium since his win at Ana-
heim 1. The Monster Energy Star
Racing Yamaha rider suffered his
worst result of the season, eighth,
and drops to fourth in the 250SX
West Championship. He's now
one point behind Ryder DiFran-
cesco, who moved up to third
overall.
