On a cool, overcast day, Silvenhorn war his normal lithtnin8-6st and velvet-smooth sell As usual, he dominated the Over 60 Expert class, winninS both motos overJohn Huegei. The Over 50 Expen class featured one of the best iaces of the day, with Silverthom, Oenoii Spence and Chariie Rrchardson putting on quite the show. ln moto one, Spence and Silverthorn battled back and forth for the first couple of laPs, with Richardson stalking them, Then Spence went down and damaged both his front- and rear-brake levers. Richardson eventually 8ot by Silverthorn for the moto win. ln the second moto, Spence kept it totether for the e.tire race, though Richardson brouSht it home in the runner'up spot to iecurc the overall class victory One of the most impressive displays of ridin8 on thii day was put on by Mark Dwyer, who brouSht his 1979 Haico 250 and entered three classes - the Over 40 Expert, Op€n Ate Expert and GP 250cc Expert classes. (Apparently that wa! all he could Eet into.) The end results w.s six motos and six wins - and there weren't any dogs in any of those classes. The l25s alwaF provide some treat racint, ard Saturday w.as no exception. Race three had the GP l25s in gate one and the Historic l25s in gate wvo. ln the GP l25cc Expert class, Rob Nolin was blazingly fast en route to a l-l victory over Steve Gib6on. Michael Oweis stEwed why he sports the number-one &te in dle Historic I 25cc ch$ with his own I - I victory over Dave Clayden. Ridardson picked up his second overall win of the day in the Historic 25(kc Expert class with another fast, smooth, connitert tes the Silver Hqirs ride, finishirE widl a l-3 tally. Clayden p(,t on a Sreat disphy of skill, winning the second moto over Ro8er f.enyon afler having probl€ms in the frst stanza. Garrett Gesselman si$ed up in d|e Novice renk and then went out ahd ran second overall in dle lirst rnoto. Didnt take Dave Boydstun lont to award Garet a black stripe. The clos€st finish of 6e day came in the last rnoto of the day, in the Ultima 50occ Expert class- Kenyon tot the holeshot and led the first two laps before succumbing to Brett Miller's charte.
