Both Over 40 riders were respect- ed Pros back in the 80s. and they have lost little speed since. ln the first moto, Tyler grabbed the holeshot, while Holt got a horrible jump off the gate. While Tyler was building up a comfonable lead, Holt had to weave his way through riders to try to 8et up front. After 8efting by Traci Fleming and l'4onty Price for third, Holt ran into his first major obstacle: Pro-class competitor Tim Holas, The two duked it out, but Holt eventually prevailed, and then he went after Tyler. MakinS up amazinS time every lap, Holt finally.auSht him on the white-flag lap. The two raced t ether allthe way to the checkered {lag, with Tyler holding on to take the win. Holt finished second and Holas took third. The second moto went more in Holt's favor This time he got a better jump, bur it was still Tyler grabbinS the holeshot. Tyler held on to the lead for several laps be{ore Holt made his move by to take the lead position. Holt then never looked back and took the win over Tyler in second and the third-placed rider. Holas. Holt took rhe overallwin via his 2-l moto finishes. BBR tech S.ott Tyler (l-2) finished second, and in third was Holas (3-3). KT|'l-mounted l'lonty Price (5-5) took fourth, and the top- placin8 woman, Traci Fl€min8 (4-6), took fifth. One rider who has shown incredible improvement this y€ar is Chris Kolde. He held off fellow Honda rider lerrid Southard for a maior upset win in the l25ccJunior class. ln the first moto, it was Brandon Kallbert from Olympia, Washington, jumping out into the lead. There was a lot ofdicinS Soing on for second place, whi.h ,/vas eventually nailed down by lerrid Southard. Fresh off a collarbone iniury he received at Woodland Motocross Park, Southard was riding well, considering he has be€n off for some time. He seemed a little more timid, but last nonetheless. Kallberg took the win, followed by Southard and Kolde. ln the second moto, it was lightning-fast starter Kolde grabbing the holeshot honors. This time. Kolde would never relinquish the l€ad, holding oll all advances from both Southard and Rocky Gesner to take the win. Kolde (l-l) took the overall victory w,hile Southard (2-2) finished second, and Gesner (4-3) was third.
