The top seven riders finished lap one trghd/ packed. wi$ only l3 seconds separating them. Brandt and Powell were tied at the check {or the lead, follow€d by wea.. Patrick Garrahan, Garrison Gragg, Rodney Spencer jr. and Brian Sperle. Garrahan w3s charging on lap two and was soon behind the leader, but a rock flew from Brandt's wheel and hit Gariahan square on the ankle. He was stopped, and a number of riders 8ot by, but he made up time, finilhing lap two in ninth overall. Then he posted the fastest laps on laps four and five to gain fifth overall. Dick's RacinS Suspension/Fox/Motion Pro- backed Sperle, also on the 8as, moved from seventh to third on lap two. -l fett good," Sperle sajd. But at Stead. the duo agarn rook ro the l25cc Pro Eate to show all their old friends the fast way around the circuit. Ni.k Baush put in a tenacious ride through the pack to claim third. Harvey went on to dominate the lntermediate classes, claiminS all four moto wins in the 125c. and 250cc races. Ryan Ferns also impressed in the lntermediate races, following Harvey for se.ond in the l25cc and 25(kc divislons, and rakinS a win of his own in the Schoolboy Division One class. ln }4ini action, ,esse Sanchez was in a dass by himself in the 50cc and 65cc races. Mounted aboard a potent Cobra, Sanchez rode away from the 50cc lntermediate class, and then took his KTM 65 to the 65cc Junior and Open wins.
