The Rockstan Suzuki Team was working out of a U-Haul truck in Houston after having problems with their usual rig after the Deaoit round "Tha frame riilon our tractor broke," Rockstar Suzuki team man- ager Ed Longacre sard. "lt had been fixed before, when Faatory Connection owned k, but it wasnt fixed properly. So now we are gettinS it ,ixed properly, but it won't be ready untilthe Dal,as round." Longacre also talked about Rockltar Suzuki's plans for the outdoor searon. "We will be starting our outdoor testing durin8 the break," Longacre said. 'This will be [Mike] Brown's last ride in the Super- cross Series. He will spend the rest of the time concentmting on testing for the out- doors for the small class. AIso. after this weekend,losh Woods will be riding a 450 in the West Supercrms rounds to get ready for the big class outdoors. Rfan Hills and Jason Lawrence willalso be back, so we will keep the Rockstar banner flying." ,osh Woods, who has been ridinS the Lites class for Rockstar Suzuki. was lookin8 for- ward to getting back on a 450. "l am really lookint forward to getting back on the big bike." Woods said. "l think I ride the big bike really well, and I did really well on the big bike in Are- nacross. So I will go home after this round and start getting ready for the outdoors. I will only ride certain events during the ou! door season, but it will be fun because I will be able to iust pick and choose which events I want to ride." Chad Re€d took a di88er during the sec- ond practice session and looked as though he landed riSlt on his bad shoulder. The Team Yamaha rider lay in the dirt for a few secohds before his mechanic helped him to his feet. Arter sitting on the side ofthe track for a while, he retumed to the session where he posted the founh-fastest time, "l actually hit my head," Reed said. "l landed on my head to save my shoulder. I tried a new fron! tire and it didn't really work our. The thing was a little soft and it iust rolled. ! pushed it and crashed. lt was not big deal, it iust rung my bella little bit.''
