Davis was
able to sneak by
him and

him.

That chance
came on the last
lap when the
rid-
ers encoumered
a
pack
of lappers, and Davis
was
forced to hit dle brakes.
"Ty
had
to brake, and I saw
my chance, so
I
iust
pinned
it and
went right around
him!" Soule said.
"They're
saying I dethroned
the King,
but I would-
nt
go
that far.

This race has a long

this one event each
year,
and
this
year
proved
to be
no different
with many of the classes
sellinS out. The nine-mib course
was very similar
to the 2005
course and featured the
legendary
high-speed asphalt
start,
gear-to-the-moon
straightaways,
the infamous
mud
jump,
and
motocross sections.
Ty Drvis is
known as the
"King
ofAdelanto" but
there may
just
be a
young
prince waiting in the
wings to take
over the crown. Davis won every
sin-
gle
event he entered
over the
weekend except the
250 Expert mce. where l7-year-old
