He decided (o sit out the rest of the night but expec6 to srJit up for the next race in Phenlx. ,ax, Team Yamaha's Chad Reed was without his usual me€hanic at Anaheim l. Darin "Rookie" Sorenson broke both ankles and suffered other iniuries while riding his din bike a few week ago. Filling in tor Sorenson was Alan Olson, who will proba- bry tune for Reed th.ough out the entire 2006 Supercross Series, or at least until Sorenson is healthy enough to return. A couple of new race teams made their debut at Anaheim, including Robbie Rey- nard's new Free Nissan/Reynard Modifi- cationt team made up of Reynard,]acob Martin and Brandon lones. For Reynard and company, the day dld not go so well..lones crashed with Eric lr,lccrummen in an after- noon Practice session and broke his arm, and neither Reynard nor Martin qualified for the main event, Reynard finishint two spots out ofa ransfer in the LCQ.
