And now it has taken hold in the motorcycl€ industry Xt eme is also the latest craze to hit the indoor short track at the Al.1P Outlaw Winter Nationals. "i4r. Xtreme" himsell Guy Cooper, made his way to the OK Corral to find out what all the buzr was about. His weapon of choice: a Guy Cooper Replica Xtreme. Cooper told track announcer Dr. Jack Rhodes and everyone on hand during one of Jack's signature interviews held on the front straight that he had b€en ro the OK Corral a few times when he was a younS boy. He was reminded of t:j€s of a young kid by the name of Scotty Adams bealing the older riders. He thouSht Scotty was aboua ll or 14 at th€ time. Adams, v/ho later raced as Grand National Number 29 and won several Nationd AfiA GNC races, was on hand to hear those stories. Cooper took one ol the bike for which he is a national sales manager and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt why he was the AF1A Natjonal l2scc-class Champiofl. A full 20 minutes of trueling TT racinS exhibition durinS halftime proved how versatile the Xtreme motora)cles are- Fifteen of the l0 Lite Xtreme-class riders worked their lvay through fiw Scratch heats, two semis and a B mdn event to make it into th€ ls-rider A main. Once agajn, the OK Corral was rockin'and rollin'with the newest craile ao hit the short track there. Rjders from all around rhe area competed for top honors. When the smoke cleircd, it was a rider on an Xtreme- brind bike who took the checkered ,lag. ,ustin Elswick, Hope Robinson and Eill Watson continued their winninS ways on Saturday ni8ht, winning every contest they entered. Hope took home a spedal award, a Dave Bradley Vintage Trophy presented to her for the night's win in the A class. Austin Medrano also received one of the cherashed vintage trophies that fearured a heevy metal motorcycle figure, wood trim and antique, heavy marble. Clayton Hull and the BH Racing te:m made the trip up from Weatherford, Texas. Clayton, one of the finest indoor riders in the area, showed his ability in the indoor shon track by winning the five]ap 50/50 ticket Dash For Cash, and then wenr on to EiShty-six total entries competed at round four of the AMP Outlaw Winter Nationals. The next races on the Al.1P schedule for 2006 a.e.lanuar/ 7 at the Purcell Oklahoma flcclain County Expo, lanuary 2l at the OK Corral in Barrah. Oklahoma, and February ll at the Purcell Oklahoma l4cclain Counry Expo.
