run of races this year by adding WSX to his calendar but remains a wild-card entry due to his par- ticipation in only two of the five rounds. Cooper looked comfort- able up front all night. He stayed close to Roczen in the final two races of the night and finished in the runner-up spot to close out round one. He's eight points behind Roczen in the points standings. Haiden Deegan made his 450cc debut in Argentina and fin - ished third overall after the three main events. The Star Racing Yamaha rider missed his gate selection in race one and had the last gate pick for all three races. He overcame the adversity and passed the most riders on track en route to 4-6-3 finishes. Deegan burned up two clutches in the first two races but kept things together in race three to earn his best result of the night. Deegan is another wild card for the series and only plans to race again at the Australian round on November 29. "I'm still getting used to this bike, so I'm just learning and progressing every time I get out there," Deegan said. "I've dreamed of racing against Ken since I was a little kid. I have photos of me in the grandstands, and I had his jersey in my room. So just being on the same track with these guys is a huge ac - complishment for me, my team and my family." Christian Craig (Honda) and Jason Anderson (Suzuki) round - ed out the top five, both making their racing debut on new teams. SX2 The SX2 (250cc) division saw a similar outcome with Max Anstie sweeping the field in all three mains. The British veteran VOLUME 62 ISSUE 45 NOVEMBER 11, 2025 P49 Roczen kicked off the WSX season with the overall win despite coming down with a stomach bug prior to the race.
