ries and health issues. Pless-
inger said he needed a fatigue
break and sat out the last few
rounds of the outdoor Pro MX
Championship and didn't suit up
for the Monster Energy Super-
Motocross Playoffs. He said he's
bouncing back.
"My fitness, well, I haven't
done much in the last two and a
half months, so fitness is going
to take some time to get back.
But, overall health, I feel great.
When this thing started, I was
waking up with headaches and
was having them throughout
the day and was just feeling,
like, blah all day long, just not
good. The last month and a half,
however, I've been feeling really,
really good, having more energy
throughout the day. I just needed
some rest, sleep, man, I just
needed sleep and let my body
recover. Me being the hardhead
that I am, I tried to do too much
the last couple of years, and it
just caught up with me, espe
-
cially now that I'm getting a little
older."
Beaumer, KTM's lone 250
rider, has been sidelined since
injuring his back in the outdoors.
He's still not riding yet, but that
could change soon.
"I feel good," he said. "If they
[doctors] told me I could ride to
-
morrow, I'd be good to go; okay,
probably not, a seat bounce
would still probably hurt pretty
bad. But recovery has been
going extremely well. I'm happy
with my progress, and my doctor
is extremely happy. We're right
where we should be."
However, we won't be seeing
Beaumer race on the track any
-
time soon. As of now, Beaumer
and the team don't expect to
compete again until the first
round of the outdoors at the end
of May.
