MotoGP Sprint Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing Team) turned a disastrous pole- position start into a sensational victory in the Sprint race, snatch- ing the win from Aldeguer on the final lap. Bezzecchi slipped from pole to eighth off the line, while Luca Marini briefly led before running wide, allowing Aldeguer, Augusto Fernandez and Pedro Acosta through. Early drama saw Marc Marquez and Alex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha) collide at turn 10, with Rins worst affected and Marquez handed a long-lap pen - alty that dropped him to 13th. At the front, Aldeguer es- tablished a gap after Acosta crashed out from second at turn one. That left Fernandez and In the Moto2 Championship, there was a massive swing in the points, with long-time series leader Manuel Gonzalez's points lead cut to just nine following his disqualification due to his Dynavolt Intact team running illegal software on his Kalex. The pain was made even worse as his chief title rival, Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Kalex), inflict - ed the maximum pain with the full 25 points for the race win. In Moto3, we have a new World Champion as Jose Anto- nio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) escaped all the madness around him to record a red-flagged win after David Munoz (Dynavolt Intact KTM) was knocked off his bike at high speed by Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Honda), causing the race to be stopped.
