ROUND 1 / SEPTEMBER 6, 2025 ZMAX DRAGWAY | CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA SUPERMOTOCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P74 send us into the mud, that's cool. "Either way, we're chillin'. I'm a racer; we'll figure it out. I mean, I've heard a lot of people complaining about the track today, which I think is BS because we're professional athletes, and I think you've got to figure it out. So, no problem with the track, and if we've got to race, we've got to race, and if we don't, then I'll take the [win]. I'm not going to say it was an easy [win], be- cause it was a hard race." Seth Hammaker held on for second at the checkers. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider suffered a big crash during the morning qualifiers and was unsure if he'd even line up for the afternoon motos. Hammaker did come out and looked like nothing had hap- pened, as he holeshot the opening race and held off a hard-charging Jo Shimoda, who later fell, in the opening laps. Once Shimoda hit the deck, Hammaker held a 12-second advantage over second place and looked to be in control for the win. Deegan, however, had other plans Haiden Deegan reminded everyone why he's the two- time defending 250SMX Champion after scoring a come-from-behind win. Seth Hammaker led most of the 250SMX race before Deegan ran him down.
