in one year: Supercross, Moto-
cross and SuperMotocross. It
didn't
look good for the defend-
ing champ early in the first
moto,
as he started well out-
side the top five while the two
front-runners
got away with the
lead. Deegan eventually slotted
into second place and went to
work, cutting down a 12-second
lead on Seth Hammaker. He
turned up the pace, and with
two laps to go, Deegan threaded
the needle to pass Hammaker
for the top spot. No one could
respond as the reigning number
one took the win by nearly four
seconds at the line.
"First win of the SMX season
is pretty cool; hopefully we can
do it more," said Deegan be

tween motos. "If they want to
plan and clicked off consis-
tent laps to earn a top-five. I'm
st
oked! That was the goal com-
ing in, so I'm happy to be leaving
here with
a fifth place."
Ken Roczen just missed a top-
five overall after battling up front

The 2025 Supercross champ,
Cooper Webb, finished seventh
ahead of Dylan Ferrandis, Joey
Savatgy and Justin Barcia.
250SMX
Just like Lawrence in the 450

rider to win the SMX Playoffs in
the 250 division. Deegan, again
the number one-seeded rider
heading into SMX round one,
has the chance to be the only
rider to ever win all three titles
19-year-old was transported to
the hospital, where it was con-

fracture of his L3 vertebra and
has since undergone surgery
to stabilize the injury. Beaumer
provided an update on Sunday,
September 7, via social media. "I
couldn't be more thankful to have
had an amazing surgeon and
nursing staff here in Charlotte.
It's going to be a long road, but
I won't take no for an answer.
Minor setback only means one
thing: a major comeback."
MALCOLM STEWART
Malcolm Stewart was one of
only two riders to complete all
28 rounds of SuperMotocross
racing this season, but then he
did not line up for Saturday's
motos. Stewart cased a jump on
Friday's practice session, injuring
his lower back. The 32-year-old
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
rider, however, is hoping to com-
pete in St. Louis.
