"Another solid weekend in Un-
adilla, leading my first 450-class
laps,"
Hampshire said. "I wish I
had felt a little better up front,
but that's all part of the learn-
ing, and I've always struggled at
this track,
so all in all, P4 was a
solid day. We keep learning a lot
each weekend, and my speed is
continuing to get better, which
we are tuning the bike toward as
we go along."
Justin Cooper rounded out
the top five after trading spots
with Hampshire late in moto
two. Cooper still leads the over
-
all SMX points.
"I
messed up my start in moto
one and came back from around
20th to sixth," Cooper said. "In the
second moto, I had a good start,
almost got the holeshot, and was
third on the first lap. I ran there for
quite a while, then Eli got around
me and kind of towed me around,
and I finished right behind him in
fourth. It was a good day overall—
better than last weekend—and my
riding's been good."
Dylan Ferrandis improved
one spot over last week and led
Malcolm Stewart, Justin Barcia,
Kyle Webster and Valentin Guil
-
lod to top 10 finishes.

plans. The Honda HRC Progres-
sive rider tends to improve as
the season goes on, but
Unadilla
may have been his best perfor-
mance yet. Shimoda dominated
the day by
leading 29 of the 30
laps raced. In the first moto, he
extended a 40-second lead over
second place and cruised to
