RJ Hampshire finished fourth
overall after leading laps in the
first 450MX moto. Hampshire is
fresh off his first career podium
and showed he means business
second moto, putting him 11th
overall. Gibson failed to qualify
inside the top 40 and fell during
the 250MX LCQ. "Overall, it was a
really good day," Dudney said. "It
was a big learning experience."
DAVIES, BENNICK
RETURN
Cole Davies and Daxton Bennick
returned to racing after being side-
lined with injuries. Davies qualified
17th in the 250MX class and then
was 30th on the opening lap of
moto one, finishing 23rd. In moto
two, he was 16th after the opening
lap, but it was another tough moto
that saw him once again finish
23rd for 26th overall. "First week-
end back is done and dusted. It's
not the result we wanted, but it's
good to get some gate drops and
leave Unadilla healthy. We'll keep
progressing and set our sights on
Budds Creek." The Bennick had
bike issues in moto one and a bad
start in moto two. "It's really hard
to just jump back in after being off
the bike for so long," he said.

his eye that required stitches after
suffering a big crash in the first
250MX moto.
