to the crash, we're still unclear
of exactly what happened, but
it does look like we could be
dealing with debris in the brakes
from the track, and if that's the
case, we need to come up with a
solution on how to prevent this
in the future."

Things got back on track for
Haiden Deegan at Ironman. The
defending champ looked fully re-
covered after the two-week break
and eager to
put himself back
on the top step of the podium. In
moto one, Deegan ran down Jo
Shimoda with an impressive late-
race run after eating up a gap
of more than seven seconds.

to have the overall in his hand

for sixth place overall.
"I was ready to go, and the

to me flinched, and I
was just so committed that I hit
the gate. They have their rules,
so it is what it is. The more
important thing is that Hunter is
getting his first 450 win. It's been
a long time coming, and I know
he's been very close, and I've
been a pain in the butt for him."
Sexton was another rider
with an up-and-down day. The
defending champ stormed to
an impressive win in moto one,
even after tipping over on the
opening lap. In race two, he
worked his way up and looked
