Tyler Scott (Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki) was fourth, albeit 29 seconds off Scholtz's winning pace, with Kayla Yaakov (Rahal Ducati Moto w/ Xpel) in fifth. In the series points, Scholtz leads on 242 to Jacobsen's 235, and Davis holds third on 186. Stock 1000 JD Beach had his best weekend since joining the Stock 1000 class on the Real Steel Honda, taking pole by a massive seven- tenths of a second from the sur - race wins to open his title lead to seven points from his arch- rival PJ Jacobsen (Rahal Ducati Moto w/ Xpel). In a processional opening race, Scholtz cleared off to take a 4.9-second win over Jacob - sen, who in turn was seven seconds up on Celtic/Economy Lube+Tire/Warhorse HSBK Duca - ti's Cameron Petersen, who got the better of Davis by less than one-tenth of a second at the line. Josh Hayes (BPR Racing Yamaha) was fifth, but a mas - sive 20.2 seconds adrift of the third-place battle. Race two was another Scholtz benefit, the South African once Lewis rounded out the top 10. Herrin's crash and eventual 14th place after some running re- pairs in the pits tightens the title fight substantially. He now leads Fong 242 points to 237, with Beaubier third on 226. Gagne holds fourth on 187, while Es - calante sits fifth with 136 points. Motovation Supersport Class number one Mathew Scholtz (Strack Racing Yamaha) made it a perfect weekend in the scenic green countryside of VIR with pole position—albeit by the smallest of margins of two- thousandths of a second from teammate Blake Davis—and two Mathew Scholtz (1) shined like a diamond in Virginia, taking pole position, two wins, and a seven- point title lead. Blake Davis (22) and PJ Jacobsen (15) both took podiums.
