ROUND 7 / JULY 12, 2025 SPRING CREEK MOTOCROSS PARK | MILLVILLE, MINNESOTA MOTOCROSS I AMA PRO MOTOCROSS / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P70 overall points, and four consecu- tive second-place finishes place him securely in second in the championship standings. "I'm just trying to go faster to catch him [Jett]," Hunter said. "Yeah, I'm frustrated after, because I want to win. I just pushed as fast as I can go, to where I feel like if I went any more [faster], I would crash— right at that fine line—and then just big balls down the hill." Chase Sexton made his first podium appearance of the 2025 season in third overall. Spring Creek marked the second week back for the Red Bull KTM rider, who displayed some incredible speed in the second moto at days of the season with a moto win to start the day. The oldest Lawrence brother took over the lead once Jett fell, and the num - ber 96 ran away with the lead for all 18 laps. He convincingly won the moto by 15 seconds over his younger brother. This was the first moto win for Hunter in 2025, and he is only the third different race winner in the 450MX division. Moto two saw the brothers stay close in the opening laps, with Hunter apply - ing steady pressure in second place. This is where he'd stay, though he eventually lost the tow and finished eight seconds behind. This was still Hunter's highest-scoring day in terms of TRIUMPH TOP 10 For the first time since entering the Pro Motocross circuit, all four of the Triumph Factory Racing riders finished inside the top 10. Mikkel Haarup led the charge with a fourth and Austin Forkner, Jalek Swoll and Jordon Smith finished eighth, ninth and 10th overall, respectively. "Another weekend in the correct direction," said team manager Jeremy Coker. "To have all four riders in the top 10 is very hard to achieve, especially with Jalek car- rying an injury. Our plan is to have all four inside of the top five." TOUGH GO FOR KTM Only one KTM rider (Chase Sex- ton) finished every moto on Satur- day, as Aaron Plessinger and Tom Vialle faced their share of struggles at Spring Creek. Plessinger is still feeling the effects of an illness he experienced at the previous round, dropping out of moto one and not lining up for moto two. Vialle fin- ished sixth in race one, but a crash on lap one of moto two saw the French rider exit the track. "Prac- tice in Millville went well for us and looked a little better than last week, but then it became more difficult in relation to Tom and Aaron," said team manager Ian Harrison. "Tom actually had a good first moto; he recovered from a mediocre start all the way back to sixth place. Then, in the [first] 450 moto, it was a good race for Chase, and Aaron was up there, but he definitely had some issues, and he had to retire, so we will look into this and find out what we can do to help him. The second moto in the 250s was tough; we lost Tom in the whoops at the back, and that was the end of his day." Briefly...
