Webb Out For The Outdoors M onster Energy Star Racing Yamaha's Cooper Webb revealed before the Spring Creek round of the AMA Pro Moto- cross Championship that he is going to sit out the rest of the series because of a knee injury that he suffered the previous weekend at RedBud. He says he will have a minor procedure on his knee on Monday, July 14, and should be in action for the three-race SuperMotocross Playoffs. He had held the lead in the SuperMotocross season points standings before sitting out Spring Creek. "I'm extremely bummed that I'll be missing the upcoming rounds of Pro Motocross," he said. "I had a personal goal to make all 31 rounds this season, and I'm disappointed to surrender the SMX Championship lead this way. On the positive side, it's a quick fix and recovery. [I] should be back on the bike in around a month so that we can prepare for the opening playoff round in Charlotte." CN VOLUME ISSUE JULY , P33 A knee injury will prevent Cooper Webb from finishing out the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, but he should be good for the SMX Playoffs. Yankee Fork Rendezvous Trail Ride Moving Along T he inaugural Yankee Fork Rendezvous is moving along according to the ride's co-founder, Scot Harden. The ride is an offshoot of Harden's long- standing Nevada 200, held in the Pacific Northwest in Challis, Idaho, September 5-7. Like the Nevada 200, the Yankee Fork Rendezvous is a three-day "non-competitive" off-road trail ride. This year, there is a 150-rider limit. Harden expects the limit to expand in future years, but for the first one, the ride is only permitted for 150, and approximately 100 entries have already been filled. "I am currently in Challis, wrapping up a week of working together with [co-founder] Rodney Smith," said Harden recently. "We rode and cleared over 75 miles of trail, met with the town council, Chamber of Commerce, the Forest Service, BLM, and all our other local service providers. To say we have the support of the town of Challis is an understatement." Click here for more information about the Yankee Fork Rendezvous Trail Ride. CN September's inaugural Yankee Fork Rendezvous Trial Ride in Idaho is moving forward, according to the event's co-host, Scot Harden.
