Quartararo was fast in qualifying but
suffered a crash in the Sprint race
and an off-road excursion in the
MotoGP. Some speculated he went
down in the Sprint race due to run-
ning a used front tire, but he rebutted
that. "I don't think I crashed because
I was riding with a used front tire, but
of course it didn't help, either," he
said Saturday. "But we had to ride
with a used tire if we wanted to keep
one soft, ready for tomorrow." During
Sunday's GP, Quartararo was forced
to run off the track to avoid a fallen
rider and ended up 10th. "When Fer-
min [Aldeguer] crashed in front of me,
I went into the grass and lost eight or
nine seconds. It was a close one."

11TH/10TH MOTOGP
Castrol Honda LCR's Johann Zarco
hovered around the top 10 all week-
end, finishing 11th in the Sprint race
and 12th in the MotoGP. Despite
not quite cracking the top 10, Zarco
saw some positives, especially in the
Sprint race. "I'm happy because in
