The infamous Las Vegas Supercross continued even after the
stadium's lighting system failed, leading to one
of the most controversial supercross events in
AMA history. Makeshift lighting was set up, the
250cc main event commenced near midnight,
and JeĆ’ Emig won. Several star riders,
including Jeremy McGrath, refused to race.
Coincidentally, the riders and the AMA were in
conflict, fueling conspiracy theories.
