Callum Crowe, the local Manx- men setting a new lap record of 121.021 mph to finish an incred- ible 1 minute, 17 seconds ahead of Ben Birchall/Patrick Rosney, with Lee Crawford/Scott Hardie taking third. Harrison, an almost continual bridesmaid at the TT, scored an ultra-popular win in the opening Superstock TT, his first win since 2019 and Honda's first in the cat - egory for 10 years. The now-Isle of Man resident bested Todd by 11.6 seconds, with Dunlop third. Dunlop's domination of the smaller categories continued apace as he took the opening Supertwins race on the Paton for his 31st win at the TT. Second initially went to Michael Evans, who was later stripped of his maiden TT podium after his Da - fabet team failed to produce the machine for a post-race inspec- tion. That elevated Rob Hodson (Paton) to second and Paul Jordan (Yamaha) to third. Dunlop's win in the second Supersport TT came at a canter, the most successful TT racer of all time, finishing 26.181 sec- onds ahead of Harrison, with Todd third. He also took the sec- ond Supertwin TT easily ahead of Todd and Dominic Herbertson to make it a podium clean sweep for the Italian Paton brand. Harrison doubled his win tally for the year by dominating the second Superstock TT ahead of Todd and Dunlop, both riders suf - fering various electronic issues with their BMWs as they vainly chased Harrison's Honda. Like- wise, the Crowe brothers blitzed everyone in the second Sidecar TT, finishing over a minute clear of Birchall/Rosney and Crawford and Hardie. The TT was marred by serious accidents (but no deaths) for several riders, including Michael Rutter, who crashed out of the second Supertwin TT and suf - fered various injuries including a fractured spine; Frenchman Jonathan Goetschy who crashed in the second Superstock TT and is reported to be in a serious but stable condition in the hospital; Veronika Hankocyova continues to receive treatment for head, chest and arm injuries following her Supertwin race crash; Tom Weeden suffered back, leg, and ankle injuries after his throttle stuck open in practice; and Peter Hickman, who crashed in prac - tice and suffered leg and arm injuries.
