extended his undefeated streak
at the SoCal track, marking eight
consecutive overall wins dat-
ing back to 2020. He's also led
every lap ever since moving up
to the 450MX class. Despite his
dominance at the Fox Raceway
track, Lawrence faced a chal-
lenge in the second moto as
Tomac pursued him for the
entire 35 minutes.

After a brief three-month re-
covery from a torn ACL at the
Glendale Supercross, Lawrence
returned to action at Fox Race-

never missed a beat. Why are
we so surprised? This is the

perfect season as a rookie in
the 450MX division two years
ago. On Saturday, the Honda

6TH (7-6) 450MX
Jorge Prado returned from a shoulder
injury and finished just outside the top
five in his Pro Motocross debut. "I'm
a little bit disappointed. I expected
more, but realistically, it's fair that we
struggled. I'm coming off an injury,
and on top of that, I've never raced
outdoors on the Kawasaki. We only
had four weeks on the new bike, try-
ing to build a setup, so it's normal that
it wasn't 100 percent. I made some
passes on the first lap, but then I lost
the rear wheel of the rider ahead and
had to push to the end. I was catching
the two guys ahead of me in the final
laps, but it wasn't quite enough."
24 RJ HAMPSHIRE
9TH (6-12) 450MX
RJ Hampshire made his debut in
the 450MX class and finished ninth
overall. "I'm a man of my word; I said
I would be here, and we qualified in
sixth, then in the first moto we were
running in the top five for a while.
Pulled off P6 in that one, which was
more than expected. Then the sec-
ond moto, I had another good start
but slid out and kind of mailed it in
from there. Top 10 was our goal, so
ninth is a solid result to begin with."
