[Roczen] going back and forth. It
took me a little to get into third

"I
was just feeding off that
heat race," Cooper said. "I got
moved his way to the lead and
went on to take his first win of the
year and, with it, the SMX Next
Championship. Two Team Green
Kawasaki riders, Landen Gordon
and Enzo Temmerman, rounded
out the podium. "Honestly, I can't
believe I did it," Fedortsov said.
"I keep thinking about it, and it's
like I had a [lock on the win] ev-
ery time, [but] every time I keep
losing, keep losing. I was like,
'Oh my gosh, there's something
wrong with me or something. I
just need to get it done.' I had a
great start, passed my teammate
right away, and just checked out
a little bit and had a great race."
