more time as the laps wore on.
He drifted back to a lonely sec-
ond place while Sexton sprinted
away at the front.
"He was inching away, and
those whoops were killing me,"
Webb said. "I got a little tight,
and that was all she wrote."
With championship defense
in mind, Webb's second place
isn't too worrisome. He still
holds a nine-point advantage
back. I didn't touch the bike all

JERRY ROBIN UPDATE
Jerry Robin suffered a crash dur-
ing the 450SX qualifying session,
leaving him needing emergency
surgery. After being rushed to the
hospital, Robin's T3-T9 verte-
brae were fused and left him with
no feeling from the belly button
down. "As of now, I'm belly button
down paralyzed," Robin said via
social media. "[The] surgeon was
able to completely straighten my
spine, which is a huge positive,
and there were some fragments
that they got out of my spinal
cord, and they had some they
had to leave in there. We will
see what this journey brings. I'm
hopeful I can walk again—going
to be a hell of a tough road—and
I'll just have to stay as positive
as I can. Tough to make a tiny
mistake like that and have my life
change in the blink of an eye. [I]
was riding really good this year,
but unfortunately, it's part of the
sport." A Road 2 Recovery page
has been set up for Robin, which
you can donate to here.
