"The track was tough, and I
was just focused on those two
whoop sections," Sexton said. "If
I could get through those clean
and fast, then I knew I'd be in a
good spot. I found some good
lines in there in the main event. I
knew they'd be gnarly, and those
were the toughest whoops of
the year, and they were back-to-
set the fastest lap of the entire
day, eight-tenths better than
Webb's best lap. With this pace,
he gapped Webb and opened up
the lead to nearly 15 seconds at
the end of the 24-lap race. More
importantly, the win cuts anoth
-
er three points off Webb's lead,
leaving
Sexton just nine back in
the title fight.

6TH 450SX
Malcolm Stewart just missed the top
five and finished sixth. "My heat race
went well with P4, and then, main
event, I just got a bad start and was
shuffled pretty far back. I made a lot
of passes from there and felt like my
ride was good."
