For most of the race, Pless-
inger had his hands full with
Justin Barcia
as the two train-
ing partners yo-yoed their way
around
the track. The KTM rider
seemed stuck in fourth, unable
to pass the well-known aggres-
sor Barcia.
"I
was behind Justin [Barcia]
for a long time and just caught
him on the track at the worst
parts to try to make a pass,"
Plessinger said.
Barcia eventually crashed in
the whoops, which gave Pless

inger the upper hand and moved
him into
third. In the closing
stages, Justin Cooper kept
Plessinger honest, and the two
crossed the line only a few sec

Sexton's average
of third. But, Sexton has more
wins. This championship will
undoubtedly come down to the
wire in the final few rounds.

POINTS COUNTING
The 450SX points chase is com-
ing down to the wire. Cooper
Webb leads by nine over Chase
Sexton with three rounds remain-
ing. If Sexton continues his win
streak for the next three rounds
and Webb finishes second in all
three, the two would technically
tie in overall points. The tie-break-
er would then swing in favor of
Sexton, who would have more
main-event wins over Webb.
