he Bimota by Kawasaki Rac-
ing Team revealed its new
colors for the 2025 Motul FIM
Superbike World Championship,
marking the brand's return to
WorldSBK for the first time since
2014. In this comeback year,
Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani
will be the sole riders represent

ing the Italian manufacturer.
The KB998 Rimini machines,
now working under the Kawa
-
saki Heavy Industries umbrella,
feature a Bimota-built chassis
powered by a Kawasaki engine.
The new Bimota features a
998cc inline-four engine that
is claimed to produce over
220 horsepower and reach top
speeds of nearly 200 mph. The
bike's design features a split
chassis made of a steel front
trellis and aluminum alloy plates,
with Showa providing the sus
-
pension and Brembo supplying
the brakes.

Pierce Brown Injury Update
M
onster Energy Yamaha Star Racing's Pierce Brown suf-
fered a scary-looking crash during Saturday night's 250SX
East main event in Tampa, Florida, on February 8. Pierce was
leading the race when he crashed in the middle of the whoops,
landing headfirst into the face of a whoop. The race was red-
flagged so he could be attended to by the medical crew.
Pierce later revealed that he suffered a broken T5 vertebra.
"I felt great all night, leading my heat and main," Brown said.
"Halfway through the main, I crashed in the whoops and un

fortunately broke my T5 vertebrae. I had surgery to get it fixed
so that I could get back to racing. I want to thank all my family,
friends, fans, and the team for all of their support."
