Test bikes (the Yamaha YZ250, Husaberg FE350 and Suzuki RM125)
and Ty Davis were highlighted on the cover of Cycle News 30 years
ago. Davis won the AMA Enduro National in Lucerne Valley, California.
The win was significant because it meant he had won four AMA
Nationals in four disciplines—enduro, hare and hound, ISDE qualifier
and hare scrambles (and several other high-profile races)—in one year,
which was a record... We ran a feature titled: "Fem and the Art of
Motorcycle Purchasing."
Husqvarna introduced its line of 2005 ož-road and motocross
bikes in Upstate New York and pictured the TC450 on the
cover... We showed our readers the ins and outs of the all-
new Suzuki GSX-R1000... We interviewed Wayne Rainey
and chatted about all things road racing, including Valentino
Rossi... We also interviewed new MX2 World Champion Ben
Townley... Ty Davis won the Glen Helen round of the WORCS
Championship... We had full coverage of the Formula USA
Road Races from Homestead-Miami Speedway, where Robert
Jensen took the Superbike title.
