30 years ago... We went trail riding in Colorado and shared our
adventure... Despite a big fight from local o"-roaders and the
AMA, the U.S. Senate approved the California Desert Protection
Act, which closed millions of acres of public land to o"-highway
riding... Will Davis won the Pomona Half-Mile... Scott Russell won
both World Superbike legs at Donington... We chatted with Kevin
Schwantz... Danny Hamel won his fourth Hare & Hound National
of the year in Nevada.
Mat Mladin made the front page for winning his fifth AMA
Superbike title and Miguel Duhamel for winning both races
at VIR. Aaron Gobert took the Superstock title... Valentino
Rossi won the Malaysian Grand Prix... Ricky Carmichael made
his Suzuki debut at the U.S. Open of Supercross that was held
in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Chad Reed won and
Carmichael took second... Suzuki's Jason Raines clinched
the Hare Scrambles Championship in Indiana... Ryan Sipes
and Kyle Chisholm topped the Englishtown Kawasaki Race of
Champions Motocross.
